  Properties and Features

  1. Hopeflam THPC is used as flame retardant for textile finishing, applicable to pure cotton or polyester cotton and other textile.
  2. The treated textile has very good flame-retarding effect, good handle, strong washing resistance.
  3. The treated textile has small tear strength loss with the original performances of fabrics not affected.
  4. Good hand and drapability of treated fabrics.

Suitable Scope

Suitable for all kinds of protective clothing, bedding, decorative items and children's flame retardant pajamas, etc., is the current durable cotton fabric flame retardant finishing method.

Introduction of Usage

Note: THPC needs to be precondensated first before use.

Padding process

Flame retardant finishing pad fluid(room temperature)→preliminary drying(100 ~120  ℃)→ammonia  smoked→oxidation   washing→drying(130~140℃)→preshrinking → finished products

Reference :Generally, for thin fabrics, the amount of THPC on the fabric should be more than 40% of the fabric weight, and the medium and thick fabrics can be 35 ~ 40%;

Dosage is determined by fabric type, construction, weight and the flame retardancy performance required.

Shipping Information:

The package is 1,400kg IBC, and can be loaded 22.4MT-25.2MT in one full 20ft container.

Hazards identification: class 8

The substance is not subject to IMO TMDG.

Attention

The moisture content

After the fabric is soaked and rolled with flame retardant, a certain humidity is required to facilitate the cross-linking reaction between NH3 and the flame retardant on the fabric in the process of ammonia fumigation, so as to achieve the flame retardant effect and the washing resistance. In general, the moisture content should be controlled between 12 and 16%, and the error of left, middle and right moisture content should not exceed 2%, otherwise, it is very easy to produce left, middle and right colors.

Determination of ammonia flow:

The ammonia flow rate is usually controlled at 350 ~ 500L/min, the flow rate is too small, the crosslinking is not sufficient, and the flame retardant effect and washing resistance are poor.Excessive flow leads to waste and overflow of ammonia gas. In practical application, the ammonia flow rate should be adjusted according to the thickness of the fabric and the amount of flame retardant to achieve the best flame retardant effect.

Oxidant concentration

In order to make the flame retardant more stable after being cured by ammonia, P+3 must be oxidized into P+5, which is usually achieved by rolling H2O2. The amount of H2O2 should be determined according to the thickness of the fabric and the amount of flame retardant. The usual dosage is 30 ~ 35% concentration. The speed of the oxidizing liquid cannot be too fast to ensure that there is enough H2O2 on the fabric, which can be oxidized by air and then washed away with neutralizing soap. The oxidizing time should not be too long, otherwise it will reduce the strength of the fabric.
