METHODS

Fluorescent Whitening (SIZE PRESS)
Hopebright HST is excellently suitable for size press with starch. It can be used in combination with CMC, PVAand anionic or weakly cationic synthetic sizing additives.
RequiredAmount:
Hopebright HST gives its best performance with dosage of 1,000-20,000 PPM in size press liquor.

Fluorescent Whitening (SURFACE COATING)
FWAs of the diamino stilbene tetrasulphonic acid derivative class do not have adequate affinity for coating pigments and synthetic latices based on copolymers of acrylic acid ester and butadiene styrene. To achieve the best effects with FWAs,
cobinders are essential as carriers.
Carriers suitable for Hopebright HST are PVA, CMC, starch and synthetic cobinders (In descending order of effectiveness).
To a very limited degree, crosslinking agents based on melamine and urea or formaldehyde are also effective as carriers for FWAs.
Hopebright HST is only of limited suitability in combination with casein and protein as cobinders.
Hopebright HST can be used at pH 7-11 and do not affect the overall rheology.

Hopebright HST gives its best performance with dosage of 1000-20,000 PPM based on the solids content of the coating formulation.
